Sign in and pick a business

Open the Documate app and select the business you want to use. All agents, channels, and uploads belong to that business.

Create an agent

Go to Agents, create an agent from a template, and review the output schema and instructions. Save your changes.

Map the agent on a channel

Open Channels, select your channel, and map the document type to your agent. Copy the channel ID — you will need it for API uploads as queueId.

Upload a test file

Go to Files and upload a sample document, or use Test on the agent page. Wait until the file and document reach a terminal status such as Ready.

Review the result

Open the document to inspect extracted fields. Optionally configure a webhook under Integrations or the channel settings so your system receives events automatically.
