Sync extract uploads one file, waits for processing (up to about 60 seconds), and returns the document snapshot in the response.

When to use it

  • Interactive tools that need an immediate answer
  • Single-document files only
Do not use sync extract for multi-document PDFs or bulk uploads — use async upload instead.

Call

POST /api/v1/queues/{queueId}/extract with multipart field file. Optional: documentTypeKey, documentCount (must be 1 if set). Try it in the API reference: Sync extract.

Webhooks

Sync extract does not send webhooks. Read the response body for status and documents / resultJson.

Timeouts

If processing exceeds the wait window, the response may indicate timedOut: true. Poll with the returned fileId or use async upload next time.
