# Businesses

> Create and switch businesses in your Documate account.

Documate isolates data by **business**. Agents, channels, files, documents, and API keys belong to the business you have selected.

## Switch business

Open **Businesses** (or the business switcher) to select another business in your organization.

## Create a business

Create a new business when you need a separate workspace—for example a sandbox for API testing. Prefer a dedicated test business for playground experiments.

## Profile

Update the business display name from the business profile page.
